Your personal data
We collect and store all data that you provide us with as part of your application. This includes your contact details, your application documents (CV, covering letter, previous vocational experience, training and qualifications, photo (if provided) and our notes from interviews with you), your salary expectations, your desired position, availability and your identification documents, if necessary and/or applicable. This also applies to all other data that you provide us with, including all correspondence that you have with us during the application process.
If necessary, we also obtain the above data about you from other sources, including recruitment agencies, references that you make available to us, websites and other publicly available data on the Internet. This includes data that you have clearly made publicly available as part of an online profile. We may also retain data that you provide to us via third-party websites, including job boards such as Stepstone or Monster.
Purpose of data processing
We collect and process your personal data in order to offer advertised positions and to carry out the selection process. The data that you have provided will be used to process your application, and, in the event that an employment contract is entered into, to implement this employment contract.
Where consent is required for the processing of data (e.g. for inclusion in our applicant pool), the legal bases are section 26 of the new BDSG and Art. 7 GDPR.
If an employment relationship is formed between you and us, we may process the personal data that we have already received from you in accordance with section 26 (1) of the BDSG (new) for the purposes of the employment relationship. This will happen if this is necessary in order to implement or terminate the employment relationship or to exercise or fulfil the rights and obligations relating to the representation of the interests of employees resulting from a law or a collective agreement, works agreement or service agreement (collective agreement).
Storing your data
We will only store your personal data for the six-month retention period for application data, or for as long as we require them for the legitimate interest of the edding Group under applicable law, unless you give us permission to use your documents for other positions (inclusion in the applicant pool). If it is no longer necessary to store data as defined above, the data will be erased.
If you accept a position with us, we will store your personal data for the entire duration of your employment relationship in accordance with the privacy statement for employees, a copy of which we will provide you with when you accept the position.
Access to your data
We may pass on your personal data to companies affiliated with us, provided that this is permitted in accordance with the purposes and legal bases described. Furthermore, personal data may be processed on our behalf on the basis of contracts in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, in particular by the providers of candidate management and candidate selection systems.
